Welcome to The Pinemont Apartments. We are a garden-style non-profit community, conveniently located in the Near Northwest District of Houston, near Hwy. 290 and Loop 610. We are the premier choice for affordable housing for seniors and disabled persons, offering high quality housing in a peaceful, comfortable setting.


The Pinemont Apartments offer studio, one and two bedroom apartments, and one and two bedroom apartments with specially designed features for the physically disabled. The property features access-controlled gates, beautiful garden patio areas, resident vegetable gardens, laundry facilities and a community room with a library, large-screen television and on-line computer access. Each of the four three-story buildings has its own elevator, valet garbage pick-up twice a week, each apartment has a private patio with an additional storage area, cable television hook-ups, and in-sink garbage disposal. A monthly newsletter and calendar keeps the residents informed of activities and events.


The Pinemont is a non-smoking facility.

Mission Statement

For more than a quarter of a century, since its founding in 1981, the mission of The Pinemont Apartments has been to provide superior affordable housing for low-income seniors and disabled persons that enhances the resident's quality of life, allowing each person to live gracefully in his or her own home, confidently and comfortably, for as long as possible.

The Pinemont Apartments, Inc., conceived and established by St. Giles Presbyterian Church and Presbytery of New Convenant in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). Our Board of Directors is comprised of members of Presbytary from the following churches: St. Giles, Clear Lake, Grace, John Knox, Memorial Drive, Pines, Webster, Northwoods, Trinity, St. Philip, and First Presbyterian.

To enhance the livability of our residents, the Board of Directors, through financial contributions, volunteer participation and in-kind contributions, funds on-going activities such as :

  • Holiday parties
  • Annual Family Spring Picnic
  • Residents' Council
  • Monthly get-togethers
